- Dr. Peter Bakonyi has been the driving force behind the Information
- Infrastructure project of Hungary, started in the mid eighties. In
- the framework of this project the first computer communication
- infrastructure for Hungary was developed. Peter Bakonyi played
- an important role in the opening and in the integration to the
- western networking infrastructure and organizations. He is a
- manager who understands the need of changes in a changing world.
- Peter Bakonyi is vice-president of the Hungarnet, the Hungarian
- national networking organisation. He played an important role in
- the success of the Central and East European session of the
- INET'92 conference in Kobe.
